Green Energy, a vegetated telephone pole – Berkeley, California

May 9, 2013

Here’s a novel approach to creating green energy…

This telephone pole is definitely much more aesthetically pleasing covered in ivy (Hedera helix), maybe someday the ivy will even succeed in knocking the thing down all together… If we must have telephone poles, using them as giant trellises makes sense. I am amazed that they are razing vegetable gardens to the ground when they leave something like this to run amok? You have to wonder at the logic in governmental officials don’t you? (I guess this one requires THEM to put in an effort😉 )
