    The grasshopper’s a real beauty. It’s hard to see what he’s sitting on – a pod, a stalk? Where are you now?

      Hey Mom, the grasshopper is on the trunk of a tree (Caesalpinia sclerocarp). The bark is peeling, somewhat similar to the madrone/manzanita up in California. I’m back in Kefalonia now.
