Ficus benjamina trapped in lobby

This Ficus benjamina was growing in an apartment building lobby in Athens, trying desperately to escape, plastered against the glass. Photo taken from outside. Somewhat sad for the plant, but interesting.

    that’s atrocious!! did you see it from inside the lobby? I wonder what’s going on with growth on the side we can’t see!

      Yes, its a somewhat depressing scene. Had the planter not been built in to the floor I would have liberated it. I may have a photo of the inside half. If I do I’ll post it…

    At least it is surviving…unlike many human inhabitants of sad apartment buildings in big cities.
