Reminiscent of a book I’ve used in Cultural Geo classes for many years: Dirt, the Ecstatic Skin of the Earth by William Logan. First essay is “Clyde’s Pickup,” about the plants springing up & thriving in the back of an abandoned pickup truck.
Thats nature for you…no matter what we throw at it, it is always waiting for an opportune moment to attempt to balance out the problem and green us up again :o).
