Musa spp. Dwarf pink banana

This is the dwarf pink banana. As you can see the small fruits are peeling themselves, almost like a second bloom. I had never tried the ripe fruits before, they’re sweet, although full of very hard black seeds. If you try to peel the semi-ripe bananas they’re not very edible, you have to wait for them to peel themselves. I’m trying to propagate it from seed.

have you had any luck? i am about to start this from seed to use as an indoor plant.
Grew this in an indoor mylar grow tent under a 400watt HPS.
The key is to eat them JUST as they begin to open.
Dont wait too long, and dont eat too soon.
Because of this:
They are no good for storage, obvious.
The tiny black seeds are a pain in the ass.
But it tastes fantastic.
I know this is an old post, but that’s ok…this species is Musa velutina
